For over thirty years, Mr. Brown has provided operational development, leadership and consulting services to a variety of healthcare organizations across the United States. These organizations have included hospitals, integrated healthcare systems, physician practices, independent practice associations (IPAs), management services organizations (MSOs), physician equity groups, outpatient clinics, and surgery centers.

Areas of Expertise

Mr. Brown has consulted with every discipline of physician care and has provided senior leadership for three multi-million-dollar physician practices. As Vice President for Operations for a large MSO, he developed a format for purchasing capitated lives to roll-up into an Initial Public Offering (IPO). In addition, he developed two risk plans for the provision of comprehensive care of Medicare and Medicaid patients, including development of the organizations that included the services of over five hundred physicians with the collaboration of hospitals for ambulatory and inpatient comprehensive care.
With experience and expertise in financial management, capitalization, contract negotiation, organizational & strategic planning, evaluation & purchase of space, and human resources, Mr. Brown has developed organizations from the ground up to provide successful healthcare comprehensive services. In addition, Mr. Brown has negotiated over one hundred fee-for-service agreements, established capitated managed care plans and has established profitable self-paid plans. His understanding of revenue flow and enhancement, cost reduction and patient flow while providing top quality services for the patient has allowed him to increase profit margins within each organization with which he has worked. In addition, he has implemented seven Electronic Medical Records Systems (EMRs).
